Description
Three-layer 20,000mm waterproof laminate with a recycled face fabric, fully seam-taped, in a cut with no logos and no trim colours. Zips are waterproof-coated rather than storm-flapped, which keeps the front clean and one less thing to catch.
This is the shell that goes over the vest or the merino crew when the forecast turns. The hood adjusts at the back and both sides and will clear a helmet; the pit zips run long enough to actually vent when you are walking uphill. Both hand pockets sit above a hip belt. It packs into its own hood and the whole jacket, once you have used it for a season, can be re-taped rather than replaced.

Fit
Cut as an outer layer with room for a vest or mid-weight fleece. Take your usual size. If you only ever wear it over a shirt, size down.
Care
Wash warm with a technical wash, no fabric softener, then tumble dry low to reactivate the DWR. Re-proof with a wash-in treatment when the face fabric starts to wet out.
