Description
Rubber-bottom, waxed-canvas-shaft construction with a vulcanised rubber foot and a 200g synthetic insulation layer. There are no laces and no hardware to seize up. Two canvas pull tabs at the collar are bar-tacked through to the lining, which is where cheaper pull-ons tend to tear first.
This is the boot by the back door. You step into it, you go outside, you come back in. The shaft is cut at 16cm, high enough for unshovelled steps and low enough that you are not fighting it. The removable felt footbed can be pulled out to dry overnight, which matters if you wear them twice a day.
Specification
- Upper: waxed cotton canvas shaft
- Foot: vulcanised natural rubber, waterproof
- Insulation: 200g synthetic
- Footbed: removable wool felt
Care
Pull the felt footbed out to dry after wet days. Re-wax the canvas shaft once a year with a solid wax bar worked in by hand.

Bought these for the dog and now I wear them for everything. Feet stay dry in wet snow and I can get them on in about four seconds. The pull tabs are stitched properly, unlike the pair I had before.

The removable felt insole is the detail that sold me. Two winters in and the rubber has not cracked at the flex point, which killed my last pair in one season.

Very warm, though not so warm that I overheat walking to the car. I take a half size up in these to fit a heavy sock and that worked out fine.
