Description
The outer is a tightly woven recycled polyester that stops most of the wind and sheds dry snow; the inside is a 200gsm sherpa fleece that goes on warm immediately rather than needing you to heat it up. Full-length side zips run hip to hem on both legs, so the pant goes on and off over boots without sitting down in the slush to do it. Zips are two-way, meaning you can vent from the ankle up while walking.
Elasticated waist with an internal drawcord, and the ankle has a snap gusset that closes tight around a boot. This is the pair that lives in the back of the truck between October and April.

Fit
Relaxed and straight, cut wide enough to pull over a legging or a jean. Sits at the natural waist with a generous seat.
Care
Machine wash warm and tumble low, which reactivates the DWR finish. Zip the side zips closed before washing so the sliders do not catch the fleece.

Very warm and the two-way zips let you vent on the walk in. They are bulky, which is expected given the lining, but do not pack down small if that matters to you.

The full side zips are the entire point. I can get these on over ski boots standing in a parking lot in about ten seconds. Sherpa lining is warm straight away, no waiting for it to catch up.

Snap gusset at the ankle actually holds around a boot rather than popping open. Wind resistance is good, I have had them out in a stiff coastal blow with only a legging underneath.
