Description
Cut from a 320gsm blend of merino wool and viscose that has the drape of a crepe with the warmth of a suiting cloth. The bodice is lined in cupro so it slides over a base layer instead of grabbing at it, while the skirt is unlined and left to fall. A concealed zip runs the length of the left side seam, and the shoulder seams are taped to stop the weight of the skirt pulling the neckline out of shape over time.
Long enough to graze the top of a boot at 5ft 7in, with a walking split at the centre back that opens to just below the knee. We put weighted tape in the hem, which is a small cost that keeps a long skirt hanging straight in wind rather than wrapping around your legs.
Specification

- Split: centre back walking split
- Made in Portugal

Care
Dry clean recommended for the lined bodice. Steam rather than iron to lift creases; direct heat will flatten the brushed surface.

Wore this to a December wedding with a wool coat and did not spend the night cold, which has never happened before. The weighted hem is real, the skirt hangs perfectly straight even walking across a car park.

The cupro lining makes a genuine difference over a thermal top. Zip is well set and does not catch.

The fabric and construction are excellent, no argument. My only issue is the length, at 5ft 3in I had to have about four inches taken off and that meant losing the weighted hem tape. Worth knowing before you order.
