Description
Cut from a 10oz British-milled waxed cotton, the Knik sheds sleet and drying snow instead of soaking it up. The seat and front thigh are lined in a brushed cotton flannel, which keeps the waxed face off your skin and adds warmth exactly where you lose it sitting on a cold tailgate. Knees are double-layered and articulated, and the crotch has a gusset so the seam is not carrying the load when you kneel down.
The wax will mark and lighten at the wear points within a season. That is the fabric doing what it does, and it can be re-waxed at home with a bar and a hairdryer. We include a tin with every pair.

Fit
Mid rise with a straight, roomy leg cut over a boot. Wide 8in leg opening so it sits on top of the laces rather than jamming behind them.
Care
Do not machine wash or dry clean. Sponge with cold water and a stiff brush, dry away from direct heat, and reproof the wear points once a season.

Wore these on the boat all through October. Rain beaded off them and the flannel lining meant I could sit on a wet gunwale without immediately regretting it. The included wax tin is a nice touch, I have already used half of it on the knees.

Serious trousers. They are stiff for the first few wears and there is a faint wax smell that took a couple of weeks outdoors to fade. Once broken in the fit around the knee is excellent.
