Description

The face is a 260gsm recycled nylon and elastane knit; the inside is brushed into a fine fleece that holds warmth without the bulk of a separate base layer. Panels are bonded rather than sewn down the outside of the leg, so there is no seam sitting under a pack strap or a boot cuff. The waistband is 12cm deep and double-layered, with a zipped pocket at the centre back and a drop-in pocket on each thigh.

Squat-tested opaque, which we mention because it is the first thing people ask. Ankle cuffs are cut narrow with a short zip on the outer seam so you can get them over a thick sock without fighting.

Specification

  • Fabric: 260gsm recycled nylon and elastane, brushed thermal backing
  • Construction: bonded side panels, flatlocked inseam
  • Waistband: 12cm double layer, zipped rear pocket
  • Pockets: two drop-in thigh, one zipped rear
  • Cuffs: short outer-seam ankle zips

Fit

High rise, compressive through the hip and thigh with a straight ankle. Full length, sitting at the ankle bone on a 5ft 7in frame.

Care

Wash cold with like fabrics and hang dry. No fabric softener, which coats the fibres and kills both the wicking and the brushed loft.

  1. Kelsey B. (verified owner)

I have run in these down to about minus fifteen with nothing underneath and been fine after the first kilometre. The bonded side seams mean no rubbing under a running belt. Waistband has not rolled once.

  2. N. Adeyemi (verified owner)

The thigh pockets actually hold a phone without it slapping around. Fabric is thick and completely opaque.

  3. Georgia Pace (verified owner)

Warm and well made. The ankle zips are useful but the pull tabs are small enough to be fiddly with gloves on, which seems like a miss on a cold weather legging.
