Description
The body is Austrian boiled wool, knitted and then fulled until the fibres lock into a dense felt that cuts cleanly and doesn’t fray. It’s trimmed at every edge with vegetable-tanned leather and set on a full leather base, which is where a wool bag would otherwise wear through first. A light internal frame keeps the mouth open when you set it down.
Boiled wool is warmer to the touch than leather in January and it sheds a dusting of snow rather than soaking it up, which is the practical argument for a wool bag in the first place. The top handle is rolled leather stitched over a core so it holds a round section rather than flattening. There’s a detachable long strap in the same leather if you want it crossbody under a coat.

Care
Brush the wool with a soft clothes brush in the direction of the nap to lift dust and pilling. Spot clean only with a barely damp cloth, and treat the leather base with a neutral conditioner once a season.
