Description
A 60/40 silk-cotton twill, garment washed so it arrives already soft and with the shrinkage taken out. The cut is straight with a slightly dropped shoulder and a curved hem that sits well tucked or loose. Buttons are small corozo, sewn with a shank so they sit flat through the placket.
It layers under a knit without bunching at the elbow, which is the usual failure of a silk blouse in winter. The cuff takes two buttons so it can be worn loose or closed properly, and the back yoke is cut in one piece rather than seamed, so there is no line under a sweater.
Specification
- Fabric: 60% silk, 40% long-staple cotton twill, garment washed

The washed finish means it does not have that shiny formal look silk usually has. I wear it under a merino sweater and it does not ride up at the sleeve. The bone is a proper off-white, not stark.

Lovely fabric and beautifully made, but the ink looked closer to black in the listing photos and is quite clearly navy in daylight. I have kept it because it feels wonderful, but I would have liked to know.
